Course of the Vaganova Ballet Academy of Saint Petersburg

Official International Summer Course of the Vaganova Ballet Academy of Saint Petersburg in La Spezia (Italy), organized with La Maison de la Danse , under the Patronage of the Town of La Spezia, for ballet students and teachers, with exclusive for Central and Southern Europe. The deadline for the registration is May 31, 2018.

The Summer Course will take place from July 3 to 13. On July 3, a presentation of the Course and of the Vaganova Teachers will be organized. From July 4 to July 12 all participants will attend 4.5 hours of daily lessons, with a final performance in the theater being scheduled for July 13.
Four of the best graduates of the Vaganova Academy will participate in all lessons and will dance in the final performance, together with the students of the course. Name Professors from the Academy are Maria Gribanova and Vadim Sirotin. Lessons of classical ballet, repertoire, character dance and choreographic work for the preparation of the final performance. The lessons will be accompanied by live music.
Minimum age for the registration is 10 years. Audition not necessary. Please send your registration form duly filled in, together with your CV and a dance picture in free position. We also require a medical certificate that confirms your fitness to stand non-agonistic sport activity.
For Ballet Teachers is possibility of watching lessons and attending Ballet Seminars on Vaganova Teaching Method (classical and character). Only 10 participants allowed. Application form for dancers here.

Nearest airports: Pisa, Genova and Firenze. The central railway station is just a few minutes’ walk from the historic center, where most of the dance facilities are located. The lessons will take place at Cultural Centre “Dialma Ruggiero”, located in Monteverdi street no. 117, La Spezia, Italy.
Though, due to the limited number of students that can be admitted, this event is at closed number and we cannot guarantee the participation once we reach the number of people agreed with the Academy.
