Czech Dance Platform 2016: jury selected nine productions

The dramaturgical jury of the Czech Dance Platform 2016 have selected 9 productions representing the best of Czech contemporary dance and physical theatre of the past season. The jury members included Petra Hauerová, Martin Macháček, Pavel Štorek, Nina Vangeli and Yvona Kreuzmannová with Markéta Perroud (sharing one vote). The selected productions will be presented from 20 to 22 April 2016 in PONEC, Archa, Alfred ve dvoře (Alfred in the Courtyard) theatres or in Studio ALTA and NoD Experimental Space.
The following productions form the base of the programme of the 22nd Czech Dance Platform festival. Prague Pride & Nadar Rosano: Dogtown NANOHACH / Michal Záhora: Devoid Spitfire Company / Miřenka Čechová: Sniper's Lake Andrea Miltnerová & Jan Komárek: Tranzmutace Tereza Ondrová, Peter Šavel: As Long As Holding Hands VerTeDance / Jaro Viňarský: Chybění Věra Ondrašíková et al.: Guide Jiří Bartovanec: Entropy Farma v jeskyni (Farm in the Cave): Odtržení
In agreement with the authors Miřenka Čechová and Jiří Bartovanec, who applied with multiple projects, the piece Lesson of Touch of the Tantehorse company has been removed from the selection. Within the project of active heritage Be SpectACTive!, the Audience jury held regular sessions with the aim of selecting three out of all the applied pieces to be recommended for the Czech Dance Platform programme. The project’s participants have chosen the following choreographies: Gossip (Lenka Vagnerová & Company), Entropy(Jiří Bartovanec) and Tranzmutace (Andrea Miltnerová & Jan Komárek). The selection was made by Vojta Brtnický, Tamara Ďuračková, Olga Fraitová, Marcel Gagriel, Ramon Hoffman, Helena, Kommová, Lena Licková, Eva Orcígrová, Eliška Tanzerová, Pavlína Svobodová and Svatopluk Ždímal.
