Krakovský Teatr Tanca pořádá choreografickou soutěž mladých tvůrců pro sólová čísla, duety a tria. Uzávěrka přihlášek 1. března 2012 a finále proběhne 12. března 2012 v Krakově.

About the Competition

The Ballet Company Hannover e.V. has been organizing this unique European contest for choreographers for 23 years. During this long period the event has claimed a prominent position in the national and international dance scene. Proof of the importance of this event in the international dance scene is the fact that on average approximately 160 choreographers from 45 nations and a top class jury attend every year. A co-operation with the Goethe Institute significantly increases the world wide appeal.

It is the goal of this international contest to provide a platform for young choreography talents to flourish.  There are many dance competitions around but only very few worldwide platforms where new choreography talent is given the chance to be noticed.  The competition enables young choreographers to present themselves to a renowned expert jury and to experience the advantages of professional stage technology, not to mention the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and the audience. 

All participants, choreographers and dancers must have had a professional training.  The maximum age for the choreographers is 35 years.  The duration of the choreography should be between 5 and 15 minutes, and the solo may not be performed by the choreographers themselves.  The choice of the theme and the music is up to each individual.  These few stipulations enable the contest to be open to all styles of presentation.  Judging concentrates only on the creative use of space and time, the interpretation of an idea and the way this is adopted by the performers.

The Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover invites for the 26th International Competition for Choreographers taking place on June 23rd and 24th, 2012. Application in writing on the enclosed form must be completed and returned to the organiser until Mai 4th, 2012
