Martin Divíšek has been nominated in the photo contest Czech Press Photo (the category of Art and Culture) for his series of photos from rehearsals and performances of the Czech National Ballet’s Swan Lake.
The contest aims to bring independent and authentic visual testimony of the real life as witnessed by Czech and Slovak professional photojournalists at home and abroad. The contest was launched by Daniela Mrázková in 1995 and has since taken place annually. This year marks its 25th edition. CPP also intends to encourage authors to offer their personal views, rising above their daily work routine, and it gives them the opportunity to publish photographs that would not be accepted by mainstream media, for various reasons.
