Since the death of Pina Bausch, Sasha Waltz, who will celebrate her 60th birthday on March 8th this year, has been one of Germany's most important choreographers.
Jiří Bartovanec
Studied at the Dance Duncan Center Conservatory in Prague. Since 2003 he continually has been working with Sasha Waltz & Guests and has been creating his own choreographies since 2007. Among others, he worked with Jochen Roller, Toula Limnaios, Petra Hauerova, Mirela Weingarten, Tiger Lillies, Spitfire Company, J.A. Pitínsky, Jochen Sandig, Helga Davis and Robert Wilson. Jiří Bartovanec is giving workshops worldwide and active as rehearsal master. At the moment he is studying pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
