BRAVO! theatre opens its 4th theatre season with local Losers Cirque Company and new guests
The new circus and pantomime theatre in Braník, Prague, will start its fourth season at the end of September. During this season, the BRAVO! theatre will host a number of regular and new guests as well as the local new circus group Losers Cirque Company. From their repertoire, audiences can look forward to the return of the cult show The Loser(s), the acrobatic musical Heaven, the dance novelty Loop or the musical Tribes. The main event of the season, however, will be the premiere of the new Losers’ production The National Collection of Bad Habits directed by Tomáš Dianiška in March next year.

Acrobatics, new circus, dance, music shows, site-specific projects, clowns, pantomime and fairy tales - all this will take place from October to June on the Braník stage. The friendly troupes Squadra Sua, Fysioart, Bratři v tricku, Damúza and now also Kozel ve fraku will present their performances. “We know from our experience with the Losers company how hard it is to build a name for yourself without your own stage. That's why we are happy to be able to provide our colleagues from the industry with a home base and a space to perform,” described the artistic director and principal of Losers Cirque Company Petr Horníček. Traditionally, there are also Sunday fairy tales for the little ones and a morning programme for schools, which, like the evening dramaturgy, will focus on new circus.
“Last season we spent all our free time with the acrobats in the theatre. We performed the premieres of four productions and during the summer we rehearsed our most popular The Loser(s) and Heaven,” Horníček described. New works from Losers Cirque Company Unbound, Loop and Braník Tales are already on the autumn and winter schedule. The site-specific project Sancti will then return again next spring along with the announced March premiere. “For the new production, I will strive for a clear and engaging plot. I'm looking forward to having in our hands a supporting text written by a popular blog. We know how to do comedy, it will be a miracle,” said director Tomáš Dianiška about the upcoming new piece.
The opening of the season at the BRAVO! theatre will take place on Sunday 24th September in the afternoon right in front of the theatre in Branická street. During the event, Losers Cirque Company and other performers will perform their stunts. Those interested can also take a free tour of the theatre.
