Robin Lamothe
Self-taught until the age of 16, after a baccalaureate in dance and a passage through the Conservatoire de Lyon, Robin joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon.
After graduating with a DNSP in choreography and a degree in performing arts in 2015, he created Collective/less, whose first piece Mémoire d'un Oubli will be released in January 2019. This piece was awarded a grant for dance writing by the Fondation Beaumarchais- SACD. In January 2018, he became an associate artist of the City of Saint-Chamond for a period of 3 years.
He will participate in the Dialogue training course set up by Hervé Robbe at Royaumont in 2019. He also became a laureate for Création en Cours accompanied by Mathilde Rance to initiate an artistic project in the college of Koungou in Mayotte in 2019.
As a performer, he also took on the role in the piece Waves and participated in the new creation OSCYL from November 2016 at the CCN of Belfort with Héla Fattoumi and Eric Lamoureux. In December 2016, he joined Charlotte Rousseau's Presque Compagnie and Jody Etienne's In Ninstan company for the piece NOSTALGIA. In 2019, he joins the Opera de Lyon for Une nuit à Venise.
In 2020, following the confinement, he joins the master 1 then master 2 Direction of international cultural project and venue at the university Lyon 2 where he develops tools in project engineering, development, production, administration and management. He collaborated with the Alliance Française de Gaborone, the Bambous theatre in Reunion Island and the Centre Chorégraphique National de Rennes et de Bretagne. He will choose to write his dissertation on a subject that motivates him: Use(s) and mechanism(s) of the concept of emergence in the cultural field. In September 2022, he will choose to return to his first love as a performer and choreographer while coupling his activities within cultural structures or companies on missions of development, production and diffusion.
