Every year, the month of May in Madrid is marked by the city’s largest festival, Madrid en Danza. Under the direction of Blanca Li, this year saw the 39th edition, featuring over twenty productions across various locations in the Madrid region.

After a series of six editions of the printed publication Special Edition of Taneční aktuality, Dance Context z. ú. comes with a new journal, Dance Context Journal.

With Overture by Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau and Angel's Atlas by Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite, the Staatsballett Berlin and its intendant Christian Spuck present an evening that reconfirms how dance is able to give something back to the world.

Dieter Graefe, former Administrator of the Stuttgart Ballet and holder of the rights to John Cranko’s ballets, passed away in Stuttgart on Saturday, April 20.
