The Letní Letná festival has taken root on the plain in Prague for nineteen years of its existence. It is associated with a pleasant and action-like atmosphere that enriches the city while the holidays slowly disappear.
The body gives simplicity, resistance, or surprise. The mind enables understanding, confusion, or poetry. The emotional responses appear on the way through triggers and memories. Interacting or choreographing evokes all of these parts together.
It must have been Day 3 of Kiosk Festival for Theatre and Dance when, scrambling out of my tent – surrounded by a watery moat from the last night’s torrential rain at Stanica Cultural Centre – I understood how near to art I had come.
